As the everlasting symbol of love, there is a heart shaped diamond. These diamonds are brilliant cut meant to resemble a heart. The heart should be perfectly symmetrical and with a noticeable cleft. The brilliant cut means that light will be reflected well.

I quote a price here because I feel obligated too; however, I really would rather not buy heart shaped diamonds. Set, they do not look like hearts because the prongs. Cut well, they look like a pear shaped with a chip. I see a lot of them that are cut poorly. Smaller heart shaped diamonds (ones below 1.00 carat) look especially off. The one exception to what I am saying is a large heart set in a pendant.
