Asscher Cut Diamonds
Asscher cut or square emerald cut diamonds were developed by some of premier diamond cutting experts in early the 20th century. The has eight sides with four of them being longer, so the diamond looks almost like a square. It is a step cut meaning the light reflects in horizontal channels rather than dispersed through prisms like a brilliant cut.
